Lesson 10: De-Escalation

In this lesson, you will learn how to recognize and assess suspicious behavior at polling locations, with an emphasis on non-confrontational techniques to de-escalate potential conflicts. Drawing on guidance from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), this lesson provides a four-step approach to managing such situations: Recognize, Assess, De-Escalate, and Report.
